Gomasio, from the japanese "goma" (sesame) and "shio" (salt), is a condiment which is sprinkled on food.
The sesame seeds and the salt are lightly roasted on a wood fire then stone ground.
Each grain of salt is then coated in oil from the sesame seeds. This process impairs neither the taste nor the nutritional qualities of the sesame and it enables a better uptake of salt.
Sesame is renowned as a rich source of phosphorous and magnesium.
Rich in fats and an important source of lecithin, Gomasio is an important food for the brain and nervous system. Sea salt is an incomparable source of rare trace elements.
How to use : Sprinkle a tablespoon full per meal on cereals or raw vegetables. With its nutty taste, the Gomasio enhances the flavour of all your dishes.
